Personal Description:
I'm a British teacher who is offering piano lessons to beginning, intermediate, and advanced students up to a maximum of Grade 8 level. I have experience playing instruments, mainly the piano and guitar, for over twenty years.
Tutoring Experience:
My teaching experience has mostly been with language teaching so I am new to teaching piano, but I'm looking forward to working with new students and helping them to further their musical skills and love of music.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching begins with understanding what your goals are on the piano and what you enjoy about music. The lessons are then focused on building your skills so that you can reach these goals and play a wider range of music with greater facility. This could involve doing piano exams, or it could involve learning repertoire and techniques to our own schedule.
If you are interested in doing exams, I'll be glad to use my own successful experience of these to help you succeed.
