I have twelve years of experience as a professional singer/songwriter and extensive experience teaching and mentoring people of all ages, abilities, and walks of life. I have toured in both the UK and the USA, including a stint in Nashville where I worked on a number of co-writing projects. I have experience with a variety of genres both as a solo artist and as part of a band.
I also play guitar & Keyboard
I have 9 years of teaching experience, having taught vocals and guitar (and also songwriting tuition) to a variety of age ranges (7-60) and skill levels (Beginner to advanced). I also have a BA hons in Commercial music (mixture of music business, music performance & songwriting and music technology).
I am currently also musical director for a charity choir for people with Invisible illnesses. (have been in this role for over a year) I have extensive experience teaching students with both mental, physical and learning conditions/disabilities. (my teaching room is also wheelchair accessible)
It's always been my belief that singing and learning to express ourselves through music can make an incredible difference to a person's life, be it an outlet for their emotions, a way to build their confidence, being more aware of their own body and how they can use it in a positive way or just for sheer enjoyment.
I tailor my lessons to each student's skill level, needs and goals and work very closely with what they would like to get out of it. I love seeing my students walk away from a session with a smile on their face. Especially when they have achieved another goal.
I'm happy to work with both males and females, at any age and at a frequency and pace that suits the student.
I have a client space separate from my house that is sterilised between each student and used solely for use during session (the room is well ventilated during and after each session). Social distancing is observed, hand sanitizer is used and provided for students should they need it and I wear a visor for every session. I also advise that students to wear a visor too as this allows protection while not inhibiting visibility or ability to sing.
