Personal Description:
I'm a Suzuki teacher who learnt by the Suzuki method when I was a child, and my father was also a Suzuki teacher, so I'm pretty immersed in the method. I love it because it supports everyone to become musicial at the same time as teaching confidence, focus and the ability to learn.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been teaching for 25 years and many of my past students are now professional violinists or doing music degrees and have played/are playing in the National Childrens Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra.
Tutoring Approach:
Although I usually start teaching children between the age of 3 and 6, I also enjoy teaching adults - it's very different - and believe any child can learn to play the violin well if they are supported by their family.
