Personal Description:

My name is Yulia and I am a violin tutor born in Ukraine. Though I have been teaching for 3 years, my musical journey has began 17 years ago - I started learning to play the violin at the age of 5. Being raised in the family of musicians gave me the privilege of growing up surrounded by music and getting to enjoy it even before I could play my first notes on the instrument. The love and passion towards music is the kind of attitude I am very grateful to have established early on in my life and it is my goal to help others to discover and develop it.
After finishing the Music College in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, I have moved to London to master my skills on a full scholarship in Royal Academy of Music. Here, I’ve had the opportunity to work with world-renowned teachers and perform in a variety of professional settings, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Now I am eager to share all the knowledge and experience I have gained to encourage young musicians and adults interested in this field to become the best versions of themselves.

Tutoring Experience:

With over three years of teaching experience, I have developed an approach that supports both technical development and musical expression of a student. I hold the LRAM (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music) teaching diploma, a prestigious qualification that has provided pedagogical training and a deep understanding of instrumental instruction and educational psychology.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching focuses on helping each student grow in a way that suits their individual needs and goals. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.
I believe in building strong foundations—good technique, musical expression, and a solid understanding of rhythm and pitch. I also include basic music theory and listening skills to help students become well-rounded musicians.
Whether a student is working towards exams, performances, or playing for enjoyment, I adapt my lessons to keep learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music.
