Personal Description:
Hello! I'm a kind and supportive singing teacher (BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance (Singing) from London College of Music) who can help you develop your voice and reach your goals. I adapt my teaching to the student and aim to make the lessons fun and interesting. My lessons can assist you extend your range, improve your tone and protect your voice from damage and fatigue.
For my degree, I studied with top singing teachers and vocal coaches, and I gained a wide knowledge of vocal techniques applied in many different genres such as R&B, rock, pop, jazz and musical theatre. I also hold a Diploma in Jazz studies and Singing from Synchrono Conservatory of Thessaloniki (GR).
Moreover, I am an experienced singer, songwriter and music producer. I have been writing and recording music for 15 years and I have performed in many independent London venues such as The Lexington, Dingwalls, Shacklewell Arms and European festivals such as Eurosonic, Europavox, Grasnapolsky and others.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught singing and songwriting to students whose ages varied from 15 to 50. I also worked in a Greek school in North London for three years where I taught greek music to young pupils.
Tutoring Approach:
Everyone's voice is unique and everyone has individual needs when it comes to singing. For my singing lessons, I embrace different techniques and adjust them accordingly to help individuals release their voices and express themselves. With a focus on breathing, pitch, rhythm and diction, I can assist you improve your singing and performance.
My lesson starts with stretching and breathing, then we move on to singing exercises where we build the technique and train the vocal muscles. For the second part of the lesson, we work on a song. Both technique and repertoire are equally important for laying the foundations for a great voice.
I can also teach theory, jazz harmony, songwriting and music production.
I offer a free 30-minute assessment as a first lesson.
