Personal Description:

Hugo completed the Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Clarinet Performance (PGAD) at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Before his PGAD, he completed his Master of Music in Performance studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. He also received the Bachelor of Arts in Music Studies with First-class Honours at the Hong Kong Baptist University.

Hugo is an active musician based in London and he has the opportunity to perform in major venues in London, including Barbican Hall, St Martin-in-the-fields and St Jame's Church Piccadily.

Tutoring Experience:

Hugo is an experienced instrumental and theory teacher offering lessons in clarinet, piano and theory. He gained experience teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced students through priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons, outreach projects and working in local music services.
He taught one-to-one lessons, as well as various prestigious primary and secondary schools. He has the opportunity to work closely with musicians from the LSO Discovery and the Manchester Camerata and organised workshops in schools.

Tutoring Approach:

In the first lesson, he usually brings musical games into the lesson for ice-breaking and get familiar with pupils ability. He will also play little duet together with the pupil to evaluate their level. His lesson plan usually included music theory, basic technique and tone quality and he is happy to discuss the plan with parents and/or pupil to provide the most suitable education to the student. But the most important thing is to make the pupil enjoy playing music.
