Personal Description:
I have 30 years experience playing guitar and I’ve been teaching guitar for 14 years. I’ve also been teaching drums, piano, ukulele, singing and songwriting for 8 years. I enjoy my job and find it very rewarding. I have a masters degree in Songwriting and a B.A (Hons) degree in Music. I also run an outdoors music tuition and live music community group.
Tutoring Experience:
I teach students what they want to learn, as well as really useful and fun pieces that are very accessible. I also have a 100% pass rate when it comes to teaching grades (grade exams optional). I teach all styles, all ages and abilities and I really make an effort to make lessons fun as well as informative.
I have taught hundreds of students both in schools as well as teaching privately. I teach guitar, drums, piano, ukulele, singing, songwriting, music production and music technology. My students have ranged from 6 to 83 years old. It’s never to late to start. I teach all ages and abilities.
Tutoring Approach:
I'm a very patient, friendly teacher and I teach in a way that all can take on board easily. I use bite size elements to the way that I teach, that has seen all of my students who have taken exams, pass with flying colours, some as young as 7 years old have passing with 95%. Not everyone wants to take exams, which is absolutely fine, it's only optional.
I always make lessons fun and informative and set achievable goals, which results in students making great progress. I have an up to date DBS certificate and the first lesson is free with no obligation.

Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a guitar instructor.
These are qualities that I look for in a guitar tutor. I also like the amount of theory and practical work that is mixed into the lesson. Communication is also excellent.
