Personal Description:
I am an experienced guitar, mandolin and banjo teacher based in Telford. I offer private tuition from my home and can travel to students living in the Telford area. A small fee may be required depending on distance. All ages and abilities are welcome. I am also happy to do lessons over Skype/FaceTime or similar. Whether you just want to learn for fun, have a very specific musical goal in mind or want to study towards a grade exam or diploma I can help! I have a lot of experience in preparing students for their grade exams with Rockschool, RGT and Trinity. I teach a wide range of styles including jazz, classical, acoustic, rock and pop, blues and folk. I can also teach music theory, improvisation and sight reading.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 10 years. I currently teach at a busy music school in the West Midlands and also offer private tuition in the Telford area. I have experience teaching both individuals and small groups and can teach complete beginners to advanced level students of all ages.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor lessons to each student according to their interests, ability level and goals. My aim is to make learning as easy as possible by teaching in a clear and well structured way, making the most use of the lesson time and ensuring progression.

I am learning how to play the banjo and he is continually assessing your instrumental ability to keep up with the lesson music reading and timing.
