Personal Description:
I have studied Classical Music to degree level, majoring in Performance (in which I gained a first), with modules also in Composition (for which I have won the Michael Grady Composition Prize), Music Therapy, Indian Improvisation, Ensemble Studies, Music Industry, Historical, Critical and Analytical Studies amongst others.
Tutoring Experience:
Having 10 years of professional teaching experience with students of all ages, BA (Hons) in Classical Music Performance and experience in the music industry, I am an ideal teacher for any student, whether their interest is casual, educational or professional, or for any genre, such as pop, rock, classical, jazz or world music. Each student's syllabus will be tailor made based on their current skill level, goals and tastes, with exercises and repertoire added to enhance their learning.
Tutoring Approach:
Whether you want to play and write songs casually in a band or want to work through grades to impress with your technical wizardry, whether you wish to play Classical, Flamenco, Pop, Rock, Jazz or Country, whether you are a complete beginner or experienced and wish to brush up your skills, I can offer a fun and efficient means to do so.
