Information About Sabrina - Cardiff teacher

Personal Description:

Having studied music both in France (Paris, Orléans) and in the UK (London), I am now a Freelance musician based in Cardiff, Wales. I have had the opportunity to perform with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Bristol Ensemble, the Orchestra de Cymru and other ensembles and orchestras in the UK and in France.
I graduated from Trinity College of Music, London, in July 2010, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance. and obtained several Premiers Prix (First Prizes) with distinction in Flute Performance, Chamber Music and Music Theory at the Orléans and Créteil Conservatoires (France).

Tutoring Experience:

In 2008, my interest in music education enabled me to obtain a Flute Teaching Qualification in Paris (Diplôme d'Etat de Professeur de Flute). I have now been teaching the flute for 16 years both privately and in schools including Queen's Preparatory School for Girls and Queen's College - Harley Street London and more recently, St Clare's School in Porthcawl. I have worked for various music summer camps, been a toddler music teacher at l'Ecole des Petits and La Petite Ecole Française (London) and given workshops as a percussion teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I am keen to share all the musical and technical skills I have acquired in London and Paris over the last few years. My French and English musical backgrounds have enabled me to widen my musical knowledge and resources. Thanks to my 11 years of experience as a flute teacher in several music schools, I would be able to offer creative and efficient instrumental tuition with appropriate objectives according to my understanding of the pupils' needs. I would be very happy to guide them in their musical journey so that they can find a new way of expressing themselves and improve their musical skills whilst acquiring the more general knowledge musical training can bring.
