Personal Description:

I am a professional Guitarist, Composer & Teacher currently residing in Maidenhead, UK. I have been playing the guitar for over 15 years and have performed in various venues across the UK with well-respected musicians including members from Soul2Soul, Jake Bugg, Stormzy, Maisie Peters & Suzi Quatro.

This has led me to interviews with the BBC West Midlands, Notts TV and multiple festival performances throughout the UK including Victorious Festival (Royal Blood, Jamiroquai, Nile Rodgers) and YNot Festival (Stereophonics, The Vaccines & The Wombats). I have also performed at some of the UK's best entertainment venues such as G Live in Guildford and the Electric Theatre supporting artists such as the Hot 8 Brass Band & Rose Windross.

I achieved a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship at The Academy of Contemporary Music in 2019 and received my A-Level in Music Performance at one of the world's leading music colleges in London, formerly named Access to Music. After studying music for multiple years, I have learned to be competent in the art of Music Theory, Musical Composition, Improvisation and Sight Reading.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching these skills I acquired throughout my years of studying for over seven years to students of all ages across the world, including USA and Australia. I have also taught online and in-person within multiple parts of the UK including London, Berkshire, Surrey & Nottingham.

I also have a following of over 25k followers on Social Media which includes creating mini lessons, improvisations and guitar related content. Some of these videos attract over 500,000 views and are viewed by thousands of guitar enthusiasts across the world.

I have also worked for multiple peripatetic teaching companies and music services across London, Surrey and Berkshire including setting up my own private tuition company (RRC Guitar) where I teach over 40+ in-person students per week at my studio in Maidenhead, UK.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is to make the lesson fun, comfortable and provide the utmost enthusiasm in the session.

The key for me, is to identify the students learning approach, whether this be visual or auditory, once this is established I'm able to tailor the lesson to the student. In regards to the content for the lesson, I'm able to teach grades 1 - 8 Rockschool, ABRSM and Trinity.

However, I have students who don't wish to take an exam and just wish to learn their favourite music, I'm also completely happy to take this route. Regardless, whether you are just starting out, or wishing to break the rut, I'm happy to work with you and take your guitar playing to the next level.
