Information About Russ - Plymouth teacher

Personal Description:

I have been a professional player since 1962(royal marines band service) and as teacher since 1972.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught at the royal marines school of music from 1972–––––––––––1978.
On leaving the service I taught at Dartington College of Arts and then for Cornwall music service for 18 years.In 1991 i opened my first teaching studio in Ivybridge followed by another studio in Plymouth. I teach in numerous schools around the area and have taught thousands of students to enjoy the wonderfull world of music.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple lessons should be relaxed, informal and the student should look forward to coming for every lesson. All the lessons are structured so that the student feels that with effort they can achieve everything that they want from music. As a former examiner for the Guildhall College of music London I provide students with the correct technical and playing skills required to obtain good results in all grades. I currently have 2400 passes with no fails. If you do not want to travel down the exam route then I also offer all styles of playing on all instruments for pleasure.
