Personal Description:
I completed my BMus(Hons) at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2007, and worked in Manchester as a freelance musician until October 2010 when I returned to the Midlands, performing with such ensembles as the Manchester Camerata. I was also a member of a successful wind octet which performed regularly around the northwest.
Tutoring Experience:
I have significant experience in one-on-one wind tutoring, and completed a successful pedagogy course as part of my degree. I also received regular chamber music coaching as part of an octet and quintet, and would be happy to provide a similar service for groups of up to eight musicians.
Tutoring Approach:
I am willing to teach either for pleasure or with the goal of a further career in mind. The result of each lesson will very much depend on what the pupil wishes to achieve; he or she will be asked what her goals are, and lessons will be tailored to allow them to reach that goal in the most appropriate fashion.
