Personal Description:

Hello! I'm Radu and I'm a pianist based in Manchester. I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music for my Bachelor and Masters, both with Distinction. I have been teaching piano for 4 years and I am an enthusiast teacher, always looking to inspire and share my passion for music with others. I am patient and creative, and I believe that anyone -no matter what age or level- can learn to enjoy and play piano, creating music and develop creativity. I would like to help anyone reach any goals, whether you want to learn casual or for taking grades!
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience in teaching people of any age or level, I currently work at Gasser Music Studio where I have students between 5-60 years old. I teach for casual as well as preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity Exams, most of them receiving high marks and positive feedbacks. In the past I taught 1:1 at Alma Park Primary School as part of a teaching placement, where I also organised assemblies and musical group activities with the pupils. I have also had two years of pedagogy training from RNCM where I developed many skills such as organisation, communication with students, efficient structure of lessons amongst many others.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to explore many teaching approaches, depending on the individual's needs and preferences. In my teaching I incorporate elements from various ares of teaching including improvisation, listening, technique, theory, as well as fun activities, all within a supportive and encouraging environment. I also strongly encourage my pupils to be curious to learn any type of music. There are so many styles and genres of music that can be learnt on the piano, from classical to jazz and pop, so why not exploring them?
I constantly communicate with my students to know their goals and decide together the next steps and targets. My general goal is to have a structured learning, being flexible with everyone's needs, but also creating a space where creativity and passion for music can be shared.
