Melissa ( /5): Philip goes above and beyond as a tutor; providing advice, encouragement and support. I was nervous about learning the violin as an adult, but feel in very safe hands.
From Reply from: Philip: Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated
Louise ( /5): My very specific requirements of a tutor due to other commitments could not be met.
From Reply from: Philip: Thanks Louise, it was good to teach you those few times. I'm sorry your commitments were too great and diverse for you to continue. Hope you find more time in the future to pursue something you obviously love.
Samantha ( /5): Philip replied to my initial request very promptly and I’ve now had 3 viola lessons with him (via Skype, due to the current pandemic!). I passed my grade 7 32 years ago at age 16 so I’m very rusty! Philip has been encouraging and has never made me feel like I’m a lost cause. I have a realistic goal to work towards and I’m very happy to be playing again. Philip is such a kind and proficient teacher.
From Reply from: Philip: Thanks for your kind words.
Kate ( /5): Very friendly and welcoming for a new student who had never previously picked up the instrument!
From Reply from: Philip: Thank you… I firmly believe music making should be fun at every level.
Jing ( /5): Philip is very professional and kind. He knows how to deal with little kid and very patient. My 12-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter obsulately love Philip.
From Reply from: Philip: Thanks, great to know.
Jamie ( /5): Due to inadequate school facilities/tuition I decided to pursue private violin lessons for my 8 year old daughter. I was impressed by Philips background, and we have not been disappointed. My daughter is very shy and timid, but after only a few lessons she is coming out of her shell around Philip and she is improving rapidly, week after week. I cannot recommend Philip enough.
