Personal Description:
I was a Music Scholar at Charterhouse School in Surrey where I was in many orchestras, choirs and chamber groups before continuing to study at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (Now known as The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Glasgow under Jurgen Hess. I then completed Post Graduate Performing Studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. While at Guildhall I started a band. We managed to get our first recording contract while we were still students and I played violin in the band for the next 5 years. Since moving to Fife, I now teach violin and play in The New Edinburgh Orchestra.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught have taught violin since 1979, but not continuously.
Tutoring Approach:
Iām strong on correct technique but hope the experience is fun as well as fulfilling.
