Hello!

I'm an inspired and deeply committed cello teacher, whose primary goal is to empower pupils to express themselves and enjoy learning.

My lessons are engaging, fun, and productive. As a third generation music teacher with nearly a decade of teaching experience, I understand that the key to successful teaching is positivity, good communication and consistency. Whether your goals are to complete ABRSM exams, join an orchestra, play a specific piece, or anything else, I'm happy to guide you!

Tutoring Experience:

Having grown up in a family of music tutors, I had my first private cello student when I was 17 years old. Since then, I have maintained an ongoing studio of excellent private pupils. In addition, I am currently an Instrumental Tutor at Opera North In Harmony and have previously taught at the Corryville Suzuki Project Summer Courses in America.

I also enjoy a successful performing career, which complements and inspires my teaching. I have performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and with many ensembles, including the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic for live broadcast on BBC radio 3.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that all people have musical potential and can enjoy the benefits of learning an instrument. I have experience working with students with physical disabilities as well as learning challenges, and have taught students whose ages range from 6- 60+! I work to tailor my teaching to the needs of each student.

My studio is located in Chorlton, South Manchester, near St. Werburghs tram stop. It is easily accessible from Chorlton, Whalley Range, Firswood, Didbsury, Withington, Fallowfield, Hulme, Old Trafford, and Rusholme. I'm also available for lessons over zoom.
