Personal Description:
I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music (London) and am currently a Trumpet player with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. Throughout my music career, I have played with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Hallé, Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington, the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra, and the progressive rock band Big Big Train, to name a few. I have also previously performed on the international tour of the musical Chicago. I am well adept at performing and teaching in a wide variety of musical styles
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching privately in London since 2016 and continue to teach students of a variety of ages and standards. I previously taught for Wandsworth Music and at Trinity College of Music’s Junior Department. I currently teach at More House School and Cobham Free School. I have helped students work towards music exams in both the ABRSM and Trinity College of Music syllabuses.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to music tuition changes from student to student, depending on what their individual aims and goals with the instrument are. However, my main approach with all students is to help them get enjoyment out of performing on their instrument and to help them reach their full potential.
