Information About Pat - Basingstoke teacher

Personal Description:

Hi I'm Pat! I'm a motivated and enthusiastic bass tutor living in Basingstoke but also gigging in London. I graduated with a First Class degree in Bmus Popular Music Performance from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, which has enabled me to be comfortable teaching a variety of styles, such as Rock, Pop, Metal, Jazz, RnB and many more. I have plenty of experience playing live, including gigs abroad in Europe, on UK national TV and high-profile function gigs in London, and can impart what I've learned here to my students along with helping them be an effective member of a band.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught many fellow musicians of a wide variety of ages who wanted to try bass, or who had been playing on their own for a while but had become 'stuck' and were looking for new ways to approach the instrument and fresh things to practice. I have also taught absolute beginners and given them the jumping off point to start their bass career. Whatever the student's current ability, I will work with them to meet their goals.

Tutoring Approach:

My main aim as a tutor is to give a solid technical foundation on the instrument to work from, and to help you to fulfil your own goals to be the musician you want to be, and as such my lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student. I also firmly believe that music should be fun, and I strive to ensure that my lessons are engaging and enjoyable for my students. Whether you're just starting out and want to learn the basics, or have been playing for years and want to learn new techniques or how to play new genres, I can deliver an effective lesson to help you progress, regardless of where you are in your musical journey.
