Experienced and serious violin, viola and music theory teacher based in London. Patient teacher with fantastic results teaching violin and viola from completely beginner level to + grade 8
I teach pupils from the minimum age of 7 years old to adult learners of any level encompassing varied repertoire and covering all areas of instrumental teaching. I am an active musician performing across Europe and teaching is an important part of my life.

I enhance and develop each student's musical abilities and technique as well as preparing for the official grade exams, performances and auditions.
I like to have a good atmosphere with my students and I focus my energies in helping each individual student in every posible way I can, by sharing all my knowledge and experience in order to suit each student's needs and aspirations. The lessons are organised and cover all areas of instrumental teaching and music theory, using different sources and methods to suit each student to progress adequately. I encourage each student to practice as a part of a daily routine in order to achieve great results. Experience and familiar with the ABRSM and Trinity College exams as well as successful results in competition and auditions.

I consider travelling to reasonable distances.

viola and violin lessons for students from the age of 6 years old of any level, from beginner to advanced level, encompassing varied repertoire and covering all areas of instrumental teaching.

I consider myself organised and serious, friendly and patient. I like to have a good atmosphere with my students and I focus my energies in helping each student in every posible way I can, sharing all my knowledge and experience in order to suit each student’s needs and aspirations. I am an active musician and teaching is an important part of my life.

For the past 9 years, I have been teaching violin and viola as privately, one-to-one and group lessons to children and adults. I have experience teaching pupils from across the age range, from very beginner to a more advanced level (+grade 8) encompassing a wide variety of repertoire.

Each pupil is unique hence lessons are tailor made to suit each individual’s needs and aspirations. I am committed to work in music education encouraging students to include instrumental practice in their everyday routine to be able to achieve outstanding results.

My teaching sources include Suzuki books, ABRSM syllabuses (sight reading- scales - pieces), Trinity College materials, Music Theory in Practice, Hungarian violin methodology school, Oxford Music for Violin, to name a few.

Tutoring Approach:

From my experience, I had to learn to take my instrument seriously. Since I began studying the violin and then switching to viola from a young age, I have grown up with it and it has become a major part of me.
My musical education began at a professional conservatoire of music in Spain studying one to one instrumental tuition, chamber music, orchestral playing, choir, harmony, music theory and music history as the chore subjects.

It is important to teach students to undertake the task of learning an instrument seriously, as with all things we choose to puruse. In order to do this, I aim to provide pupils with all the tools that are necessary in order to overcome any obstacle. Over a course of lesson I can see the work that the student has done, and see how they have used the knowledge that I shared with them, through their development (or lack off) between lessons. As this way of teaching and learning allows me to provide the student with the information necessary to facilitate their learning, giving the student the ability to independently and confidently begin to think for themselves, making decisions about how they and what they want to learn.
This method of learning can help encourage and motivate students to practice more effectively, producing a high level of quality work. As the student is given the tools to advance on their own, over time a strong feeling of self-efficacy and ownership over the students results is formed. As a teacher it is very rewarding to see this change within a pupil, as they begin to show more interest and curiously for their instrument.
