Personal Description:
I am a classically trained Opera Singer with over twenty five years singing and performing experience. I also have over ten years singing teaching experience.
I studied with Ryland Davies at the Royal College of Music, the Benjamin Britten International Opera School, and the National Opera Studio. As well as having a thriving teaching practice, I work regularly for companies such as English National Opera, Aix en Provence, and Opera Toulon.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over ten years teaching experience at all ages and levels.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to both singing and teaching is firmly rooted in the bel canto (beautiful singing) tradition. All aspects of the voice are developed, including breathing, support, dynamics, tone, and vocal range. My long experience as a performer also enables me to share my knowledge of professional performance practice, performance anxiety, posture, vocal health and many other issues.
