Personal Description:

I have a strong passion to deliver music to the next generation. I started playing many moons ago in the 90s! We live in a society where you can gain overnight success on the web or reality TV and people forget the graft that the bands of old had to go through to get noticed before the digital age.
My passions are Rock and Blues, but I love stumbling across new bands that I wouldn't readily seek out. As a rocker at heart I can admit one of the best gigs I've been to was the sensational Alicia Keys.
Aside from music I love to invest time in my photography website. The age old sentiment of catching up with friends and family rings true and I can't leave out my two cats, they are famous in my circles.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience draws from two angles. During my current and prior employments I have trained in a room to groups using power point, flip charts and role play.
Where I find most satisfaction is in the one on one coaching angle, where I can devote my time to just one person at a time and dial into their needs. Discussing what works for them and how we can overcome any obstacles set in the way. Professionally I have had great success in this field.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it needs to be enjoyed. When I started out learning guitar I had lessons for years but then stopped enjoying it. It wasn't the lack of push, but the spark was not there at the time. When I reignited this spark my playing took off and it was not until my thirties that I decided I was ready to convert this into a qualification.
I want to incorporate the same fun into my approach. I have a great fondness for the Rockschool Syllabus. I feel it is easy to get on with and utilises the tools that can take a student down the path of learning to play with others too.
