Personal Description:
I am an experienced performer and composer. I graduated from the University of Chichester with an MA in composition and toured with the Amadeus Orchestra and British Symphony Orchestra (pre-COVID). Whilst my professional experience lies with classical and orchestral music, I also love playing and teaching a bit of big band, jazz and pop.
Tutoring Experience:
Over 10 years of teaching experience. Comfortable teaching anyone from 5 years upwards. It is never too late to start! I often teach to the ABRSM syllabus but can work with what you want to do, whether that is specific GCSE and A-Level prep, or you haven't played for 30 years and just want to dust the rust off.
Tutoring Approach:
Individualised approach to ensure each student is working to the best of their ability.
I push students when they are receptive and concentrate on the basics when they have off weeks.
Providing 1:1 tuition on the ABRSM curriculum. Also able to provide Trinity or GCSE/A-Level specifications.
