Information About Mark - Gateshead teacher

Personal Description:

I'm Mark, a secondary science teacher and music enthusiast. I love to play, and teach beginner/intermediate guitar, and also teach basic song writing skills.

Tutoring Experience:

I gained my teaching qualification in 2011 at the university of Newcastle. Since then I have taught science in schools across the North East, and beginner guitar to aspiring musicians and songwriters.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a firm believer that success as a guitarist and songwriter comes from a sound knowledge of music theory. In addition to teaching open chords and strumming patterns, I will always teach my students how to use music theory to build chords on their own, know which chords belong to which key, how to alter keys, and how to arrange chords in a way thats worthy of a new top 10 hit. My pupils will not just become a guitarist, they will become an accomplished musician.
