Personal Description:

I am an experienced professional oboist and teacher who aims to prove that its undeserved reputation as a difficult instrument to play is unfounded. My hope is to pass on the joy of playing it to others. Playing any instrument, to whatever standard an individual can achieve, should be fun. The oboe is one of the most beautiful and expressive instruments, offering better opportunities for joining local ensembles or groups than those more commonly played.

My two books **Removed By Admin**', are both written in a light and easy to understand and humorous style.

I can loan a student oboe to beginners until they can be quite sure that they wish to buy an oboe of their own, which I will advise on if required.

Tutoring Experience:

During a long career I have tutored school and adult orchestral and chamber music courses and taught at schools as well as privately, in Yorkshire, London and South Devon.
