[COVID UPDATE: Now taking students age under 18 for lessons IN PERSON! Adults too from 17th May 2021.]
I love playing the piano and have played since I was 6 years old. I am 10 times that age now and I love to help children and anyone get started with the piano! I've played piano and organ solo and in bands, for weddings, funerals, musicals, special occasions and for my own enjoyment at home.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching piano for over 16 years now and have helped many students to start learning and enjoying playing the piano as well as pass piano exams along the way. Most of my students have been children but I've also worked with adults starting to learn.

Tutoring Approach:

I am always happy to have students of any age but especially enjoy helping children get started with the piano. I take a very informal approach and each student at their own pace. I can help students to prepare and pass exams with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music but not every student wants to do exams and so I'm happy to help people learn purely for their own pleasure. I start students off with Michael Aaron books learning scales and simple tunes to start with, learning music theory along the way.

From Margaret (5/5): Because of lockdown I haven’t been for a lesson yet, but I have talked to this tutor and she provided me with the book I need. She was extremely understanding re my concerns about transmission of the virus. I am not sure when I will be happy to start my lessons but, having met her, I am very much looking forward to doing so.

She was very polite and communication was excellent but due to my own issues I didn’t make it. I felt very comfortable communicating with this lady I would recommend Lynette due to her outstanding patience and understanding I’m sure she will be an ASSETT to any student
