Information About Lizzie - Rushden teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional harpist, pianist, and instrumental teacher. I play the harp for weddings and events, and am a piano accompanist for choirs, soloists, and musical theatre productions. I also create and publish my own harp arrangements of current pop songs.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over ten years teaching experience, with students of all ages and abilities, and have taught in schools as well as from my home. I have a 100% pass rate for my students in their ABRSM exams.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to make lessons feel fun and relaxed, but also professional and productive. I will work with you to choose music you enjoy and work towards your goals, whether that's being able to play your favourite pieces, to perform at a friend's wedding, or to get your grade 8 or pass an audition. I place a lot of importance on sight-reading, and encourage students to think for themselves, so that they can eventually learn new pieces without a teacher. I am happy to take students through grade exams, but it is not at all compulsory.
