Information About Lauren - Stockport teacher

Personal Description:

I'm a classically trained soprano based in Moira, Northern Ireland. I have a PGCE in Secondary School Music and a Masters in Music with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester as well as graduating from the Ulster University, Londonderry with a BMus (Hons) First Class Honours Degree. I enjoy singing immensely so teaching it is just as fun!

Tutoring Experience:

Since 2016, I've worked as a vocal tutor taking lessons at my house and in schools. I've led choirs in high schools and music directed a musical while being head of the music department in a high school. I have taught one to one, in groups, primary school age and up to adult.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to introduce how much enjoyment can be had singing. I like to show how good the student can be, inspire them and encourage them to do what they can. There is so much to learn about the voice through different genres amd teaching techniques is key. I want to pass on the experiences and knowledge that I hold through song!
