Information About Laure - Paddington teacher

Personal Description:

Laure is an experienced performer who has given concerts in Europe, Asia and the Americas. She has been guided by some of the world's leading violinists including Maxim Vengerov, Pinchas Zukerman and Nicola Benedetti. She has gained a Bachelor of Music, Master in Performance and Artist Diploma all with first class honours at the Royal College of Music. She has taught from beginners to advanced levels both in the UK and abroad ranging from children to adults.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience in private teaching and group workshops for kids, teenagers and adults ranging from beginner to advanced levels. In 2017, I was invited to volunteer at a summer music camp in Puntarenas, Costa Rica teaching young violinists as well as giving public masterclasses at the University of Costa Rica in San José. I am also an Ambassador for Nicola Benedetti's charity "The Bendetti Foundation" promoting musical education around the UK and more recently globally in our first ever virtual sessions due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach in an encouraging and supportive manner aiming to inspire my students musically whilst providing them a good technical base on the instrument. As each student is different, I adapt my approach to their needs. I have gone through the ABRSM system and Trinity exams from grade 1 to diploma level myself as a child, so I could help students prepare for those exams. Additionally, I have been through all the audition processes and degrees for Conservatoire and have experience teaching students preparing for Conservatoire.
