Personal Description:

Hello!! I am Laura , a vocal coach from west london.
I specialise in pop singing, performance and recording techniques developing voices worthy of the pop world!
I graduated from the Academy Of Contemporary Music Having done a Vocal music performance degree, studying there for 4 years.
I am now actively in the music industry as vocal arranger and one fifth of harmony girlband XYRA… you may have seen us at Gary Barlow's judges houses this year! Having performed professionally since the age of 7, performing on huge stages across the UK including the 02 arena and Wembley stadium, and supporting acts from 'Tulisa' to 'Chesney Hawks' i have lots of experience to offer!!

If you are a beginner wanting to sing for fun or improve your vocals or a strong singer wanting some help to develop range, agility and strength, we can work together to bring out your unique voice!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching privately for 6 months now, with student ages from 4-50! With completely different desires and needs. As well as this i have taught group sessions in schools based on fun songs in the pop charts!

Being a young teacher, actively involved in the industry helps students have a current insight into the music industry, up to date with trends and sounds happening right now!

Tutoring Approach:

I like to know my students vocal ability well, including their interests preferred music styles to ensure they receive the correct tuition. As well as learning their favourite songs i like to challenge students, give them a good knowledge of how the voice works and help them to improve their voice as a whole using SLS techniques. I often get students to record a few tracks, to help with recording techniques but also to hear improvement along the way. If they are interested in learning more about music theory or how to read or write music especially if wanting to take vocal exams, i encourage this… but only if it is an interest!
