Personal Description:

Hello!

I have been playing guitar for more than 15 years now, and ever since the beginning I was always a very dedicated student. As many young students do, I started out by studying hard rock music, but slowly expanded my horizons to Rock, Jazz, Latin and fingerstyle styles of playing. I also took classical guitar lessons to improve my right hand technique.

I have a lot of experience performing with bands, both in the UK and in my home country of Cyprus. I am a very versatile musician (I also play Piano, I studied music theory/harmony/composition and currently learning to play the violin) which is, I think, a very important quality for any teacher.

I have a BA (Hons) in Music and an MMus in Composing. I also have a Grade 8 in guitar and Grade 5 in Music theory, and also a lot of experience teaching a wide range of ages.

I own and operate a very successful guitar teaching website and I am a self-published guitar-education author.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching guitar at different levels for several years now. This experience includes casual teaching to friends to professional teaching of beginner to advanced students. As part of my University final year, I specialized in teaching Jazz guitar (for which I composed my own methodology) and taught third year music students as part of the project.

If you are a complete beginner, an intermediate player or even a more advanced guitarist who feels they need some input for their skills to expand, get in touch! I am a very patient guitar teacher who really enjoys helping others on their musical journey. I strongly believe that learning an instrument should be fun and I always try to get my students playing the music they like as soon as possible.
