Personal Description:
I am a private tutor of piano, cello, and piano accordion based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I am also a composer, performer, producer and musical director, working on a variety of projects and commissions: **Removed By Admin**
I teach from my home in the West Road area of Newcastle. Students must have their own instruments and may be required to buy music on occasion. I do not offer online lessons.
I charge £18 for half an hour or £30 for a full hour.
Tutoring Experience:
"Kerrin is an encouraging, friendly and patient teacher who always accomodates my musical interests and learning style. When I started having lessons with Kerrin I was complete beginner and now I feel confident to play independently and with others. I would highly recommend Kerrin as a music teacher."

"Just to let you know how much I've appreciated (+ enjoyed!) my lessons - THANK YOU!! You've been a brilliant teacher."
- Sarah
"I am enjoying my cello lessons with Kerrin very much. His approach to teaching is to offer lots of encouragement, and his friendly nature allows me to feel very comfortable as a beginner knowing that I might not always be making a pleasant sound!
I would certainly recommend Kerrin as a tutor. 5/5" (Student through First Tutors)
Tutoring Approach:
I adopt a friendly, adaptable approach to teaching and like to mix structured training (such as grades / technique exercises) with learning pieces for pure enjoyment - both approaches are important to learning an instrument. I include relevant music theory tuition within practical lessons when useful. I am flexible in methodology - whilst I would always encourage pursuing grades (ABRSM), this is not essential.
