Personal Description:

Hi my name is Kalvin and I'm a professional musician and instrumental tutor who is DBS certified.

I graduated from the University of Salford where I completed my BA Hons in Popular Music and Recording. Since then I've forged a career performing in several tribute, wedding and function bands across the UK and Europe. I have also taught students at various music schools and developed a teaching course for my one to one lessons.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching full time since 2014 and I have helped many students, from their first steps in learning an instrument, all the way to graded exams (Rockschool, RGT).

I teach a large range of age groups from Key Stage 2 all the way to retirement age!

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is very simple. We will discuss you, or your child's personal goals and then set realistic, achievable targets to realise them. My lessons will help you to practice effectively, keep motivated and most importantly to have fun!

Lessons are reinforced with PDF documentation, tailored to your individual needs. This means that you can check the notes from previous lesson, on any device, to help with practice.
You will learn to read music notation alongside TAB that is used fundamentally for guitar, bass and ukulele.

My goal is to help you become the player you want to be and to start you on a life time of learning and enjoyment!
