Information About John - Rayleigh teacher

Personal Description:

I am a passionate, highly experienced teacher of singing for both adults and young people. I teach privately from my lovely garden studio in Rayleigh, Essex. I was previously a professional actor and singer appearing in the West End and Internationally in musicals and plays/concerts. I love to work with both beginners, intermediate and advanced singers.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced teacher, with 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. I studied Theatre at Lancaster University and have a BA Hons. I subsequently trained in Directing in London and I'm an Associate of the London College of Music. I have taught students in singing at many London drama centres, and internationally.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on a mix of technique and professional advice with my students. Teaching from both the piano and from backing tracks, we can work on musical theatre, pop, jazz and most styles. I can advise on correcting technique errors, introducing beginners to singing and giving advice and inspiration for confidence and vocal clarity/strength, building repertoire and acting through song.
