A great learning experience
Had a great time learning Harmonica with John. Very informal/fun tuition (mainly me laughing at my attempts to emulate John). John kept the music theory information to a minimal level which was good for me but was very knowledgeable and was able to explain things I had read on Google etc regarding music theory e.g. playing Harmonica in different positions, Rule of 5ths etc.
Thoroughly recommend John to anyone wishing to learn the Harmonica or any of the other instruments he teaches.

Great harmonica teacher
John taught me how to play the harmonica from scratch. His teaching style is patient and unhurried and he keeps the lessons varied and interesting. I have thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with John which were time well spent and good value for money. I recommend him.

My Guitar lessons with John
I've been with John for getting on for 2 years now and im extremely pleased with the tuition he gives.Hes very patient and moves along at my pace,im a very slow learner, but when i look back at when i first started learning to what learnt and what i can do now on the guitar,i couldn't be more pleased.
I wanted to learn the guitar as a hobby,John has understood that, and that is how i've progressed.
I couldn't praise John more and would definitely recommend John.
Ive started from knowing nothing and more than pleased with where i am now.

Tutoring Approach:

My method involves a hands on, Improvised activity , I mainly teach on a One to One basis. Depending on the ability of the student I would typically work on portions of music, theory, technique, songs, etc. and then aim for the next level once the student is happy with the progress made so far. Above I and adaptable and flexible when it comes to teaching the pupil as there is "No one size that fits all" as they say. I welcome your enquiries and look forward to hearing from you
