Information About Jessica - Rochford teacher

Personal Description:

Jess is a professional drummer and songwriter from Southend-On-Sea and has been playing drums for over 20 years across the country in gigs and festivals, alongside writing and recording music.

Jess started her professional career in all-female punk band, Petty Phase who signed their first record deal with Cool Thing Records. The band gained critical acclaim with radio play across BBC Introducing, Radio 1 and Radio X (formally Xfm). In addition, they had music featured on an advert for MTV and had the pleasure of opening for Rag 'n' Bone Man at a major UK festival. Jess has played in many different styles of band over the years, from punk to funk and has even played in the pit for Theatre productions Guys and Dolls and Mama Mia.

Tutoring Experience:

Jess has been coaching drums for over 10 years, taking students through the basics, rudimentals and through exams with the Rock School syllabus.

Tutoring Approach:

From learning how to play drums to learning grades! Learning how to be part of a band and making up rhythm patterns to learning percussion I can teach a wide range of different learning methods to help you come along way with drumming.
