Personal Description:

Hi, I'm a pianist and teacher living in Barry. My experience is mostly with classical technique, but I also enjoy a wide variety of genres aside from classical. My performance experience includes both solo piano and orchestral playing as a cellist, and I have achieved a distinction in grade 8 piano. As someone who has learned music through home education, private tuition and mainstream education, I take a motivated and adaptable approach to learning. I am happy to teach all ages, and I hold an enhanced DBS disclosure. Tutoring Experience:

- More than 10 years of experience teaching piano (up to grade 7) and music theory (up to grade 5) to individuals ages 4 to adult, both on a casual basis and with a view to taking exams
- 100% pass rate of students taking ABRSM exams, most of whom achieved a merit or distinction

Tutoring Approach:

I make it my goal to help every one of my students find as much joy in music as I do, whether it be through playing, studying, performing, or listening. I place great importance on positive encouragement and celebrating every discovery and success along each personal musical journey. I am also prepared to use some Welsh musical terminology for those who may find that helpful.
