Personal Description:
Hi, I am a flute player with a wealth of professional experience both as a live and recorded artist. I have a passion for all kinds of music from jazz, folk to classical. I studied at Trinity Laban in London and have played with a number of ensembles for over 20 years.
I like to share my love of the flute with people and whether you are a beginner, a late starter or an advanced player i will help you to learn and improve.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught privately, in secondary schools and higher education for over 20 years. I have a PGCE qualification from the University of Birmingham, a current DBS and safeguarding training.
I teach both ABRSM and Trinity flute syllabus to grade 8 and ABRSM grade 5 theory.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach all ages from beginners to advanced players, children and adults. I provide a workbook for my students to log what they have learnt in the lesson and what they are going to work on throughout the week. All lessons are planned to suit the individual student.
I love to play duets with my students, even if they are beginners. It is fun and motivating.
