Where it all began for me; since an early age I have always expressed a keen interest in vocal technique and before i started formal training i was a child performer, touring the large part of Europe as a Performer with my family. More recently, I attended Vocal-Tech Music School in London, Acton and Completed a BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music And Performance at Westminster Kingsway College, Euston. Units included; vocal and performance techniques, keyboard skills, composition, sound recording, music production and the music industry. My skill as a Singer-Songwriter has earned me a place in the Uk-Unsigned Grand Finals held in London, and I was an Exposure Music Award Nominee on two consecutive years running; within their R&B/Pop, Soul and Urban categories.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching private singing lessons to all ages and levels since attending Vocal-Tech, London (Tech-Music Schools) back in 2009. I have also taught individual, choir and group voice workshops through various Teaching Networks, London and Kent based performing Arts Schools, as well as teach performance, production, songwriting and keyboard skills from my home studio. As a professional performer I have been a mentor to younger, unexperienced artists, and bands offering a wealth of knowledge on music business practices, I am able to pass on.

Tutoring Approach:

Express your inner Diva, or Divo and free your voice, by improving your singing technique with targeted vocal lessons from a professional singer and experienced voice coach online . All styles, ages and levels taught. Lessons are kept fun, fresh and positive, we will challenge vocal technique problems as well as any associated discomfort experienced but what the individual desires to achieve with their instrument is ultimately up to them. No pressure or enforced opinions on stylistic preferences. Singer-Songwriters welcome. Lessons can also be tailored to those wanting to learn composition, keyboard skills for songwriting, live performance techniques, as well as gain an introduction to music production for demo recording.

Being a professional vocalist requires excellent vocal control and training; for a better range and palate of expression the aim is to always seek a complete understanding of core techniques . This is demonstrated by the vocal Greats and Divas of both past and present. Lessons focus on everything from correct breathing and support to proper resonance, anchoring of tone, focus, vibrato, flexability, projection and tonal quality. Emotional connection and confidence is also a key part of good singing. We will delve into relaxation techniques, characterisation and have plenty of fun too.

In Pop, Rock and R&B singing the belt voice is often a focus and we will explore how to achieve this technique safely without vocal strain. As well as develope all vocal registers evenly to enable the voice to; extend in range as well as have better control over the dynamics of a song. We will look at different styles, and perform material from Rock to Jazz, R&B, Blues, Disco and Soul etc. The voice is a mucle and like any athlete practice, patience and rest is needed in order to build upon our technique.

Tools and methods utilised in lessons include; imagery, practical exercises, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, physical warm ups, specific vocal drills, scales, and sounds as well as performance to music.
