Personal Description:

I am a Grade 8 level, highly experienced guitar player and teacher. Having been playing for 20 years, I have performed as a part of various bands and projects in which I gained invaluable experience. I also have a degree in Popular Music and a B-tech in the same subject, in which I learned a lot about playing, performing and in-depth music theory. Although I have a passion for writing, performing, and recording music, teaching is by far the most rewarding for me. I have five years of experience with a wide range of ages, so I have a very good understanding of how to tailor the lessons to suit your unique needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching privately for 10 years and have taught at various schools and colleges over the years too.

Tutoring Approach:

Many guitar teachers will have set lessons plans that they give to everyone – whereas I understand people work at different speeds and have different aspirations. I prefer to get to know people and teach them accordingly. Learning is made into an enjoyable experience, and people progress at a speed that suits them. No one wants playing music to become a chore!
