Personal Description:

I have been playing drums since age 11, took priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons until 18 and studied Popular Music and Performance at Hinckley College. I've been playing in both original and cover bands for 15+ years, performed in venues across the UK and recorded a wide variety of music in studio environments. Currently I am involved in a major original project, an early-stages funk-fusion project, organising and running a local jam night, professional performances and a personal experimental percussion recording project.

Tutoring Experience:

5 Years as a Private Tutor with students of varying ages and abilities.

Tutoring Approach:

My goal is to teach students not only the craft of playing the drums, but also skills in personal development, creative processes and the art of expression and understanding through music.
My lessons are planned and structured for each individual student, learning songs you know and enjoy through a process called "Active Listening" and transcribing drum stave, as well as emphasis on the 40 Rudiments and their applications, technique, stylistic elements, influential rhythms and players, and creative concepts and composing.
Lessons based in a private studio, using professional-quality drums and equipment.
