Personal Description:

I am a multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, and producer who has received 100M+ streams worldwide and performed at over 1,250 shows in 10 countries. Played on BBC Radio One, 6Music, BBC Introducing's Artist Of The Week, etc. I have performed alongside artists such as the multi-platinum selling Matt Simons, Grammy-Nominated songwriter Richard Walters, and Judy Blank.

Previous associations include multi-grammy nominated Snafu Records, Maximal Music Sync (Candi Staton, North Star Media), Music Table South Korea (Girl in Red), and Round Hill Music (13 Reasons Why, Grey's Anatomy).

Production and mixing work including Justin Nozuka, Mahalia, Medium Build, Kingfishr, and more.

Alongside releasing my own material, I am also a session pianist, writer and guitar player who has worked for many clients in studios both in Europe and the States, as well as on tours worldwide including major festival slots and tours in the UK, Europe and the States.

I primarily am interested in teaching people to develop their own sense of artistic identity, and am keen to mentor pupils who are already making headway in their own progress as a musician or in the music industry.

I am able to offer key insights into the industry that many other teachers aren't able to, and I am passionate about people who are passionate about music. I consider my experience valuable and my classes to be more of a personal and bespoke teaching service than traditional piano/guitar lessons, and have a slightly higher price point accordingly.

I have also achieved Grade 8 (ABRSM) in piano.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for the past 6 years, and have helped develop and guide pupils of all skill levels and ages. I have taken clients through traditional grading systems (both ABRSM and Rockschool) and also taught people who are interested in learning an instrument vocationally.

Over these years I have helped pupils develop proficiency in piano, guitar, songwriting, production, as well as offering advice on booking tours, playlisting, music business, and helping develop a sense of musical identity.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to each client is unique, but I primarily focus on encouraging artistic expression and open communication in my sessions.

I value the ability to give others the opportunity to create, and I like to treat my lessons as a safe space for ideas, for singing, for performing, and for chatting about all things musical.

There is a strong grounding in theory in the tuition I provide, and I am very much interested in giving people the knowledge of ‘how’ and ‘why’ music works. I provide a much more personal teaching style than many others, and care more about forming a strong sense of self within my pupils.

There will, naturally, be scales/exercises/pieces/songs that we will tackle every week, but in addition to this I feel as though I can provide a much more in-depth look at today’s industry, thanks to my experiences in it, and my ongoing successes as a session musician/artist.
