Information About James - Barnet teacher

Personal Description:

Started playing drums at the age of 13, received private tuition. Which helped me develop as a passionate drummer and musician.

Have been playing in Bands for 6 years and still currently in a Heavy metal band. Have loads of experience playing live shows in the UK and worked for Ex ‘AC/DC’ and ‘Tom Jones’ Chris Slade as a Drum technication on the European Michael Schenker Tours.

My experiences a drummer includes Live Session drumming and Studio Recordings such genres Heavy Metal, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Indie and Jazz. I’m very confident playing a Click/Metronome as timing is essential to become a solid Drummer

I can teach basic music/drum theory, how to read drums charts, how to set up drum kits, how tune your drums and advice with playing.

As for music Technology, I'm fully confident explaining/showing basic tools to help develop your music. Have 4 Years of experience and learning but have not released any commercial using these skills.
I use Logic Pro 9 and know all the essentials that will help you develop as a producer/Engineer.
Attended a music technology course (BTEC National Diploma Music Technology) and passed with a merit. Currently attending University Of West London for a Music Technology Specialist Course.

Tutoring Experience:

Used to give drum lessons when i was a secondary in the music department, have taught other musicians how to play drums to help develop their skills in playing/composition/drum writing.
