Personal Description:

I am Ida, a passionate and creative singing and piano tutor with 8 years of experience in teaching music. I am famous for being patient!
I hold a BaHons in Music from the Academy of Music Weimar (Germany) and teach in English, German and Lithuanian languages.

Tutoring Experience:

8 years teaching individuals and small music groups, prepping students for university/college/exams, and building work & artistic portfolios with motivated individuals.
Between 2017-2019 led Jazz Singing and Stage Presence workshops for pupils as well as their teachers in Lithuania, Germany, and Myanmar. Since 2019 am a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, School of Creative Arts. Since 2020 founder and director of Open Wellbeing LTD - assisting individuals in unlocking potential and talents through music sessions.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is very flexible and I'm happy to tailor to my students needs, goals, and interests.
I encourage all students to learn theory and practical knowledge, whilst learning their favorite pieces and keeping their passion for music alight!
At the end of each lesson (If they are happy with this) students are given weekly assignments for them to work on during the week.
During the week if any questions arise regarding the practice, students get support from me and are welcome to send me a text as well as video messages.
Lessons can include ear training, improvisation, sight-reading, learning pieces, music theory, exam preparation, songwriting, and composing.

Online sessions are held via ZOOM or WhatsApp. Prior to the first meeting, I send an e-Mail with comprehensive instructions on how to prepare oneself.
In-person lessons are held at the student's place (additional £5 is charged to cover travel costs)

I apply a 48hr cancellation policy
I have an up-to-date DBS certificate
