Personal Description:

Bachelor of Music from the Royal College of Music, London and Postgraduate Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music, London, I am highly trained and skilled but approachable! While I am in demand as a performer, my teaching work is of equal importance. Passing my skills on to pupils is both a responsibility and privilege, and can benefit all ages and levels, whether you are a professional musician or persuing a hobby. I can help with singing technique, pitching, sigt-reading, performance, preparation, repertoire and much more.

Tutoring Experience:

5 years as peripatetic singing teacher in private central London school (including preparing students for ABRSM singing exams)
5 years teaching privately - all ages and all levels of experience

Tutoring Approach:

Working with someone's voice is very personal and it is common for people to feel vulnerable. I am sensitive and encouraging when this is the case - it is essential to ensure that the student feels comfortable and confident. Lessons are tailored to the individual, whether they require emphasis on technical, musical, dramatic, theoretical (or usually a combination) of skills. Lessons are varied and draw on techniques from many different sources including Alexander Technique and Brain Gym as well as more traditional teaching methods.
