Personal Description:

(DUE TO COVID-19 ALL LESSONS ARE CURRENTLY ONLINE) Hi, I'm a session Guitarist, Songwriter and Producer with 20 years of playing experience. I offer open and versatile Guitar lessons covering Soul, African, Rock, Pop, Folk, Latin, Jazz and more. I attained Grade 8 Guitar at the age of 16 and went on to study Popular Music at Goldsmiths University. Following which I went on tour with a Ugandan Highlife band and began working on my own material. I now release my music on an Independent label while continuing to do session work. I'm also a singer and arranger among other things. So if your looking to become a fully rounded musician as well as a guitarist I can help you expand your abilities in multiple areas.

Tutoring Experience:

During my time at university I taught group classes of up to twelve for creative buissness companies in central london. I then went on to teach privatley and have been doing so for five years. My students range in ages from 6 to 56 roughly.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to cater to the needs and wishes of the student/parent. Having studied grades myself I am happy to take students through all grades up the top (8). Generally I think a varied approach to learning Guitar is the key to mastering and being comfortable and expressive with the instrument. This would include, learning song parts all the way through, understanding theory/chords structures and different forms of music as well teaching improvisation and tools to allow the students to experiment with the guitar as well as going through grades.
