Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified and classically trained pianist and composer. I have performed in many concerts and productions, including the Purcell Room, Blackheath Concert Halls and the Edinburgh Festival. I also have recorded session piano for a BBC1 costume drama starring Naomi Watts, and various other productions.
As a composer I have composed music for promos for Google, Thomas & Friends, Sky Sports, NHS and Thomas Cook, many award-winning documentaries for Channel 4 and UN, music for award-winning animations including a BAFTA winner (CBeebies), and feature films released by Lionsgate & Metrodome.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught piano and composition in groups and individually, in schools and privately for over 15 years. I also teach theory from beginner to Grade 5. I can also help with any part of the GCSE syllabus, including Logic composition and arranging. From primary school age to adult, beginners to grade 8 and diploma exams, whether you want to work towards exams or learn favorite pop songs with chords, I can help.

Tutoring Approach:

I vary my approach to the needs of the student or parent. I can help push them to achieve exams, GCSE work or performances, or can be a relaxed approach to learning fun pieces.
