Personal Description:

Professional, and experienced piano teacher in Epsom
(Currently taking adult pupils only)

I have a diploma and bachelor degree in piano and composition from Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, master degree and fellowship in composition from Guildhall School Music and Drama in London.

Tutoring Experience:

Following my study, I worked at the Yehudi Menuhin School for almost 10 years teaching piano, general music and composition.

From 2011, I have been teaching piano privately.

Tutoring Approach:

I am specialized in teaching children from aged 4 and half to adult, the main goal of the lessons is for pupils to have some fun and progress in a natural flow with much encouragement and detailed guidance, passing exams from ABRSM is a great way to progress for little ones, however, studies and additional repertoire will be suggested while skipping grade exams for each individual. Adult pupils are encouraged to choose songs in their own choice.

At an early stage, reading is much harder than playing, it is crucial to teach music reading step by step while making it as easy as possible, having been working with countless number of pupils, a professional and experience teaching technique has been developed and tested.
