Personal Description:
Winner of the British Jazz Award Best Trumpeter 2017 and member of the Ronnie Scott's Quintet as well as an artist in my own right, I've been playing the trumpet for 27 of my 34 years! Originally from Norwich, I was a cathedral chorister and am keen Norwich City supporter, as well as a coffee snob.
Tutoring Experience:
I can help you with your jazz trumpet playing! I've also taught beginners up to grade 8, 7year olds up to 70 year olds, as well as current and prospective Royal Academy of Music/degree level students. I've been teaching privately since 2004, and have held the brass teacher job at Dr Challoner's Grammar School (Bucks) since 2015.
Tutoring Approach:
I love to get creative with teaching, making things fun and efficient to help students progress as quickly as possible. I've made pretty much every mistake under the sun so getting good at fixing them in other people! I'm happy to teach grades or to put together a unique programme to help individuals achieve their goals.
