Personal Description:

I am a passionate singer and vocalist and am keen to teach the less conventional techniques of popular music. I have been training in singing for almost 14 years now and have since developed a good understanding of various genres, vocal abilities and styles as well as a broad repertoire. I am quite an outgoing but calm personality and always try to make lessons fun and relaxed as well as informative.

Tutoring Experience:

My personal experience consists of years of musical theatre training and performing in productions, as well as competitions both as a soloist and in various musical groups. Within university, I was accepted into an award-winning A cappella group 'The Bristol Suspensions', which allowed me to work on my pop technique and harmony. Since joining the group I have led as Musical Director, and more recently we have become national champions in the International Championships of Collegiate A cappella.

Tutoring Approach:

My main focuses consist of Pop music and vocal performance, although I am also able to coach technique in Musical Theatre. Whether you are working towards auditions or performances for competitions, TV shows and live gigs, or you generally wish to improve your sound and performance, I give coaching that focuses on areas where you want to improve. My skills and coaching include popular singing techniques such as runs, riffs, belting, different registers of the voice, inflections, whistle notes and more. I am well versed in vocal care, not just outside of singing practice, but also in regards to using different techniques and how to prevent any harmful singing habits.
